No, he has the worst aim I have ever seen. This was also the first time I had ever offered F/T like that so I was not use to having my hand so near a snake that was striking at food. Needless to say, I probably was not helping him too much with all my jumping and jerking around:)
aahh as i thought but i didn't want to sound stupid. we freeze pinkies here but i haven't heard of freezing adults = very interesting! i have a water snake which i'm feeding my beautiful goldfish which the maid killed [ don't ask! ] they in the freezer. i just let them defrost, they don't need to be warm like a mammal. THANKS for the explination :-) oh and your daughter sounds like shez screaming with delight while she watches. i found it so funny :))) warwick
:-))) great vid! i'm curious as to why the rat's dead? it must be freshly killed? to be warm for the snake's sensory organs? sorry to sound like a sico but i burst out laughing when i heard your baby in the background! makes for a very interesting combination of sound and visual :)
The rodent is dead because it is safer for the snake seeing as a dead rodent cant fight back:) it is warm but it is not freshly killed. This is what is called a f/t mouse or frozen thawed mouse. It was frozen for a while and then thawed and warmed in hot water. It is an unusual combo to have my daughter carrying on in the background:)
We have a male Coastal Rosy Boa up for sale here. He weighs about 250 grams and is feeding weekly on adult mice. He is a great snake and a great eater! For further information you can email me at BulletSponge62485@gmail.com. Thanks for looking!
