I am making a few of my American alligators available. These were hold backs but I and my associates overstocked. These American alligators come from a long line of captive breeds. Their parents were a foot, to a half of foot smaller than the average size adult American alligator which get 6-8 feet. They were about 4 1/2 -5 1/2 feet. These animals should be much smaller than a native animal they have been breed down through many generations. Getting captive breeds as opposed to wild caught is a much better choice as they are around people since hatching (and hand fed), do not carry parasites, do not carry illness, do not refuse food or die after a few days in captivity or any of the other numerous problems with wild caught. If you are buying an alligator from a breeder from Florida or any other states were alligators are indigenous you are taking a big risk no matter what they say or how legit they seem.
